HIM will be touring Finland for the first time since 2008. For three years fans have been waiting to hear the new creation from the HIM. And in the end of April the band has presented the eighth album ‘Tears On Tape’, and matter of course it has reached the top of international charts. The Helldone On The Road support acts are: PERTTI KURIKAN NIMIPÄIVÄT, BEASTMILK and ODALISQUE.
PERTTI KURIKAN NIMIPÄIVÄT (Pertti Kurikka’s Name Day) is a punk rock band formed by four learning disabled guys in Helsinki in 2009. They are also the stars of award winning documentary ‘The Punk Syndrome’, a film that follows the band’s journey from their rehearsal room to festival stages and into the limelight. Their latest release is four track EP ‘Jarmo’. Is this the last punk band in the world? BEASTMILK’s music poignantly combines haunting clean vocals, darkly shimmering melodies and a throbbing rhythmic pulse to create an atmospheric yet energetic journey into post-punk's past, present, and definitely its future. In June 2013 the band flew to Boston, USA to record at GodCity Studio with the legendary Kurt Ballou (Converge). The members of CONVERGE had found the Helsinki quartet online, loved them, and ordered both their 7"s, with Ballou soon offering to produce their debut album ‘Climax’ at his world-famous studio.
Helsinki based shock rock outfit ODALISQUE featuring HIM guitarist Linde’s kid brother Jude Natas on drums. Instead of brotherly love expect to get an heartfelt dose of “up yours!” served in the way only one’s younger sibling can. Just the right band to kick off the proceedings, then. Further proof can be found on ‘Fuck Parental Advisory’, ODALISQUE’s debut album released in July.
