Große Freiheit 36, Hamburg, Germany
29th March 2014
Knorkator

The 29th March is going to be an amusing night: the Berlin guys from KNORKATOR are giving a show on their "We want Mohr" Tour in the Große Freiheit 36, Hamburg. Everyone, who wants to escape from the serious of the everyday, should keep this evening free. Their genre does not call for nothing "Fun and Nonsense-Trash Metal".

KNORKATOR is the "most band in Germany" - sounds strange, just like they are. Their name is a play on words from the German word "knorke", which means smashing on English. Starting in 1994 with only Stumpen (Gero Ivers) as singer and Alf Ator (Alexander Thomas) on the keyboards, over the years Buzz Dee (Sebastian Baur, guitars), Rajko Gohlke (bass) and Sebastian Meyer (drums) joined the band. The two foundation members even got a classical vocal training. Now they are singing about vulgarity and satire about almost every topic, packed in melodic metal sounds. So if you first like the melodies, be warned - listen to the high quality lyrics carefully, KNORKATOR are nothing for too serious people!

If you passed that part, do not think that this would be all. The drollery goes on onstage. Toilet brushes as instruments and toast bread instead of confetti with the very grotesque clothes you might have seen - but at this point I should not reveal too much. If you are a newcomer and curious now, then hurry up. But for fans the same, if you did not recognize KNORKATOR's on tour again!
