After having just completed an exclusive and sold-out club tour across five German cities, BIRDY will be back again during fall to play seven additional shows for her fans. Her current record `Beautiful Lies´ reached the top ten of the charts and her concerts have proven that sometimes it doesn't take much to create a beautifully calm and at the same intense mood. It's not with a gigantic stage show that BIRDY puts her audience under a spell, but with her charismatic voice and virtuosic piano playing.
Being supported by a live band and grabbing the guitar once in a while herself, the young artist doesn't only perform her own titles taken from by now three albums, but also a few cover songs that made her famous overnight a couple of years ago. One can hear that between `Skinny Love´, from 2009 (originally by BON IVER), and her latest hit singles `Keeping Your Head Up´ and `Wild Horses´ there lie many years of youth and evolvement of a talented musician. BIRDY has been growing up with her music and it's just great that she shares this with her fans. BIRDY will share the stage with a young lad and fellow-countryman in Oberhausen: The London-based singer-songwriter and guitarist LAWRENCE TAYLOR, who has just released his new single `Tag Team´, will also perform in the Turbinenhalle 2.
