Orgy - “SetToStunTour 2017”
For the first time in their long career, the Californian industrial rock band will come to Germany! The guys who released one of the coolest versions of NEW ORDER’s ‘Blue Monday’ will make a stop at Cologne’s Underground on their “SetToStunTour 2017”.
Orgy was formed in 1994 by vocalist Jay Gordon and guitarists Amir Derakh and Ryan Shuck. Bassist Paige Haley, and drummer Bobby Hewitt soon completed the line-up. A band with members having such different musical backgrounds could have only been formed in Los Angeles. With experienced producers coming from 80s hair metal to synth pop, this tribe managed to create their own musical style which they described as “death pop”.
With only three studio albums and a handful of EPs, this quintet takes their time to produce their music. Over time, they changed their formation and style from the industrial and electronic sound that was present in ‘Candyass’ and ‘Vapor Transmission’, leaning more to a nu-metal sound similar to bands like KORN and LINKIN PARK. Their latest release is the EP ‘Talk Sick’ from 2015. Their forth full length album ‘Entropy’ is currently in production. Always rhythmic and glamorous ORGY is gonna make you rock and dance.
