In December, Rou Reynolds, the singer of ENTER SHIKARI, spoke up and talked about the first concerts: “Before the pandemic, since we were 16 years old, there wasn’t two months in a row that we didn’t play live. Now when we went on tour it was surreal, dizzying and an electrifying relief. And we’ve played some of the best shows of our lives.” Since the school band was founded in 2003 in their hometown of St. Albans, they have performed around 3,000 times, which naturally led the quartet to the largest halls and arenas and to the most important festivals around the world with its growing popularity. The forced break was a huge cut for the British. Time to sort through the six full-length records and countless stand-alone singles, remixes and live shows that the band distributes via their website, while also, as a matter of the heart, signing a shirt sponsorship deal with local football club St Albans City FC.ENTER SHIKARI simply occupy an exceptional position in all areas. By the way, this also applies to the latest studio album ‘Nothing Is True & Everything Is Possible’, with which the guys are touring. Reynolds took over production and created nothing more than the band’s largest and most lavish work to date. The uncompromising pioneers’ record is damn far-sighted and even now a valid commentary on our times. Post Hardcore is the basis, with excursions into electro sounds, Dubstep or Drum’n’Bass rhythms. The roaring thunderstorms of guitars, combined with the screaming vocal passages, electronic elements and increasingly also synth sounds result in a very unique sound and noise image that defines the band’s sound. Time to finally bring this thing to our stage. In December it's time.
