Only The Poets - “And I´d Do It Again - The Debut Album Tour 2026”
With their modern, Rock-infused Indie Pop and 90s Britpop reminiscences, ONLY THE POETS have long found an international audience. Whether on tour with Lewis Capaldi, Coasts and Louis Tomlinson or at their own headline shows - the demand to see ONLY THE POETS live is immense and has long spread from England, where the band regularly plays sold-out venues, to the European market.
With their visionary spirit for social engagement, the band recently announced they would play a special concert at the legendary O2 Academy Brixton - the biggest headline-show in the band’s career so far. With tickets costing only one pound - to make an ONLY THE POETS concert accessible to everyone - they sold all 5,000 tickets within minutes. The action sparked attention from the British press, who praised the band’s commitment and the initiative.
After releasing several EPs, ONLY THE POETS will embark on a major release tour in spring 2026 with their debut album ‘And I’d Do It Again’, which kicks off with a show in London. The “And I’d Do It Again - The Debut Album Tour” 2026 takes the Brits to Frankfurt, Cologne, Munich, Stuttgart and Hamburg in April.
Inspired by the local Reading Festival, Andrew “Andy / Roo” Burge (bass), Tommy Langhurst (vocals & guitar), guitarist Jarred Philips (until 2021; replaced by Clem Cherry in 2021) and drummer Marcus Yates founded ONLY THE POETS in Reading, England in 2017. Since the release of the debut single ‘Ceasefire’, the quartet has continuously developed their music with the EPs ‘Speak Out’ (2020) and ‘Our Time’ (2022) and began performing on European stages for the first time in 2022.
After signing with EMI Records, the EP ‘2023’ was released in 2023, featuring the single ‘JUMP!’. It became the band’s most successful song to date. In 2024, ONLY THE POETS were nominated for the MTV Push Award. This was followed by the EP ‘One More Night’, which entered the charts internationally. In August of the same year, the EP ‘better on the internet’ was released. With ‘And I’d Do It Again’, set to be released on January 30, 2026 via Capitol Records, ONLY THE POETS announced their long-awaited debut album.
Singles such as ‘I Keep On Messing It Up’, ‘Emotionally Hungover’ and ‘Saké’ paint a picture of the modern indie sound ONLY THE POETS promise on the album. The band delights their audience not only with their music but also with their authentic humour.
