She can be righteously deemed one of the great artists of our time. With song such ‘All I Wanna Do’ or ‘If It Makes You Happy’ she’s produced some genuine world hits amongst others. For the first one she even received a Grammy award and that wouldn’t remain the only ones in her illustrious career. Ever since her debut album ‘Tuesday Night Music Club’ has been released in 1993, she’s released six more diversified records, most of them fusing rock, folk, country and pop with a heartfelt and impressing vocal performance.
The newest album on that list is called ‘100 Miles From Memphis’ which is taking literally a different route having a distinct soul-vibe to it and thus straying from “her” genre, she’s internationally known and recognized for. Simply put: She’s keeping it creative and still is up for a good surprise. With a new album in stock it is clear as crystal she’s supporting it on a tour also and will be in Germany for a couple of dates in October. On 24th October she’s stopping by at Cologne’s Live-Music-Hall.
