Outside of the Scandinavian countries, the Finnish all-girl band INDICA might come across as merely a newcomer. In fact, the band formed already in 2001 and in 2003 already had a record deal in their bags. The debut ‘Ikuinen Virta’ was released the following year and helped getting a bigger audience through gigs at renowned festivals in Finland. The turning point, igniting their international breakthrough was Tuomas Holopainen’s decision of having singer Jonsu lay down vocals over the Finnish version of a track, called ‘Last Of The Wild’.
Up to that point, INDICA had released 3 albums. The first English album of the band ‘A Way Away’ is what most people will associate the band with. The album had and still has a remarkable success. But not only tracks from this album will be showcased on 28th October in Herford, when the girls will invoke mystical moods at the X.
