APOCALYPTICA have taken their time to record the follow-up to 2007’s ‘Worlds Collide’, some might say it was too long, but good things take their time. As vanguard to the new album, aptly titled ‘7th Symphony’, referencing to it being literally their seventh album, the single ‘End of Me’ with Gavin Rossdale was released, impressively foreshadowing what was going to be raining down on the expectant audience with the Finnish band’s freshest body of work. On their newest symphony, the band presents 8 new instrumental pieces of power and beauty, expanded with four pieces featuring vocals of Brent Smith of SHINEDOWN; Lacey Mosley of FLYLEAF and Joe Duplantier of GOJIRA.
The live shows of the guys are known for their capabilities of setting a huge audience into rapture at once, and one can be curious what they’ve thought of for their upcoming live shows, one of which is to go down at Cologne’s E-Werk. Support will be no other than the South-African LIVINGSTON who sure know how to bring the audience into the right mood.
