Deep Purple
On the 23rd of March in SK “Olympiyski” there will play legendary hard rock band DEEP PURPLE, every Moscow concert of which is just an unforgettable event for the fans. The crazy energy, wonderful atmosphere and great hits will set the venue on fire.
In the 70s, only ROLLING STONES and LED ZEPPELIN could compete with DEEP PURPLE in popularity and the band’s album like ‘Deep Purple in Rock’, ‘Fireball’, ‘Machine Head’, ‘Live in Japan’, ‘Stormbringer’ and some other became the parts of the golden fund of the world rock music. Such musicians as Joe Satriani, Glenn Hughes, David Coverdale and Tommy Bolin for example played with the band.
The melody of ‘Smoke on the Water’ from album ‘Machine Head’ is probably among the most famous songs in the world and many guitarists start coping with their instruments with this simple riff. The song deserves a rock encyclopaedia of its own, in which numerous cover versions should be enumerated. The older generation still cherishes with awe the first recording tapes with the band’s immortal hits while the youth collect with pleasure the live albums. And all the fans meet in overcrowded venues to enjoy the amazing shows of the formation.
The unfading interest to DEEP PURPLE clearly revealed during the band’s unprecedented tour through Russia and Ukraine several years ago. And now the musicians decided to come to Russia again. On the 23rd of March vocalist Ian Gillan, guitarist Steve Morse, drummer Ian Paice, bassist Roger Glover and keyboard player Don Airey will please their fans with the music.
