KATZENJAMMER are four woman from Norway - Turid Jørgensen, Solveig Heilo, Marianne Sveen and Anne Marit Bergheim - who create crazy rock-folk-pop music. There is a really cute story around their actual fame: They wanted to play on a Norway festival but the organizer didn't like to have them on stage. So they decided to play in front of the festival area. After a few moments the audience run outside to see them.
The Name KATZENJAMMER came from a Cartoon and their music is inspired by Django Reinhardt, Tom Waits, Spellemann Hansen, Tim Burton, Walt Disney and Astrid Lindgren. These woman are a really great live experience. The atmosphere is like a mix of circus, whiskey-bars and gipsy markets. They play different instruments like mandolin, accordion, carillon, banjo, trumpet and as well cookie cans. And they are travelling around the world since they released their debut album 'Le Pop'. Last time in Berlin was March 2010. With the upcoming release of 'Das Rock' can we join them this year at following places:
