BRONZE HONEY is an alternative band from Israel formed in 2011 consisting of singer Polly Gutman, guitarists Itai Leshed and Amitai Levin as well as Uri Dov (keyboard / backing vocals), Uri Menachem (drums), and bassist Hagai Levin. The band`s sound reminds me sometimes of Evanescence only with a more trendy approach. The band sets out for airplay and the reviews entitle them to it. The band seems to be pretty well received after what I accomplished to investigate with the help of the (almost) all-knowing Internet. The overall impression of the song material is decent although I am notorious for disliking female fronted bands (not the bands fault).
Conclusion: After giving the band/ the CD a few rotations in my old CD player I must say the second impression of the material is a tad better than the first one. If you dig female fronted bands you might want to check out BRONZE HONEY Polly Gutman has a nice voice and the band does a good job making the music work. Retrospective I have to admit that I haven`t heard one single tune really reminding me of metal but hey maybe you do if you check them out.
