Formed in 1996 by Blaine Cartwright and his Wife Ruyter Suys as HELL`S HALF ACRE they soon before the release of the band`s debut renamed to NASHVILLE PUSSY. The band plays a crossbreed of hard rock with elements of southern rock, punk rock and rockabilly. The band has six records up his sleeve that came out between 1998 and 2014. Right now I listen to their latest record named ‘Up the Dosage’. Cartwright’s voice sometimes resembles that of ALICE COOPER (though I like cooper that is not meant as flattery). I came to review this record because I remembered the band from Dynamo Festival 1998 and thought they were cool. I remembered wrong this music is not my cup of tea (it lacks diversion and most of all talent) I am bored to resignation by the band`s sound and especially Cartwright`s voice (I don`t understand that this guy has a rock band for over 16 years and is married to an absolute hottie).
Conclusion: I am happy to say this review is officially over, there is no single song I want to highlight and I sincerely hope this band wins in a lottery so they can stop making music…
