The new creation of Italian industrial rockers DOPE STARTS INC., despite being just an EP and consisting of only four songs, has enough potential to impress not only old fans of the band, but those who may be listening to it for the first time. The release itself is entitled ‘The Saw Saga’ and is obviously devoted to the movie series “Saw”. I don’t really like such stuff, but if the band found a lot of inspiration there and recorded such a cool thing, then who cares? From the very first track ‘I Won’t Feel’ the EP makes a listener almost speechless and keeps them excited till the end of the last piece. Four powerful, dynamic and interesting compositions are written in the best traditions of the formation and they even take us back to the early years of DOPE STARS INC., so they are definitely worth listening to.
Conclusion: Sometimes there’s no need to release a full-length album to produce a good impression and prove something. The band managed to express everything they wanted with only four songs and actually they did a great job.
