MUSTASCH is a Swedish metal band from Gothenburg, assembled by Rald Gyllenhammar. MUSTASCH play a mix of hard rock and metal, varying in intensity, speed and general aggression. Gyllenhammar´s voice sometimes reminds me of THE CULT’s Ian Astbury because of the fullness and the kind it breaks from time to time. MUSTASCH’s portfolio consists of nine records. The record differs a little from “Thank you for the Demon” which I reviewed in 2014, it is a bit less aggressive and a tad more positive.
Conclusion: I have to admit that the former record was a bit catchier but hey, metal is not bound to be catchy. ‘Be like a Man’ is a clear highlight.
