FEWJAR hail from Berlin, although there’s nothing in their music to hint at geography. ‘Gamma’ is their fourth album, a cheesy, breezy mix of almost painfully 80s funky Pop. It bounces and bubbles around every signpost and cliché yet discovered, including skippy duet ‘How Many Of You Are In There?’, the sexless saggy ‘Structured’ and enough blandness to send a hardened insomniac into the land of nod.
Conclusion: This is music for wine bars, where people go to be seen, the drinks are overpriced, and no-one gives a damn about the music as long as they’ve never heard of it before.
