And once again I will at first cite the Label because I am a lazy fuck: “Dying Victims Productions is proud to present ANGEL BLADE’s self-titled demo on cassette tape format (that explains the picture above). Not much is known about this young three-piece, but one can say this for sure: These guys are deeply rooted in traditional heavy metal. Drawing their influence from the early days of the NWOBHM and Scandinavian Heavy Metal, they are out to create the rocking, obscure atmosphere of the early days. The demo cassette contains three original tunes which show different facets and stir up hunger for more material.”
At first I thought the mystery about these guys is a joke but I could not find a bit about ANGEL BLADE, not the line-up, not their whereabouts or anything else. The one and only thing I know is this shit is fucking old-school and I that is exactly what I was searching for. The vocals are odd the instrumental arrangements are tight as fuck and it just gives you the same feeling you had listening to stuff like METALLICA’s ‘Kill ‘em all’, raw, strange and beautiful in its own way. I cannot await what comes next for ANGEL BLADE.
