DISASTER is a Thrash Metal combo from Medellin, Colombia that was assembled in 1999. As many of my readers or Thrash Metal fans in general know, the South American Metal scene is quite raw and primal when it comes to sound and attitude. DISASTER is no exception from that rule, the vocals often remind of the SLAYER version that still had to prove that they are the meanest band to ever grace these mortal plane. Andrews Felipe Alvarez’s vocals are a mix of Tom Araya and Jack Black (if you can imagine that) the style of the band is very straightforward, raw, fast and highly energetic. These guys even manage to play melodic enough to keep me invested over thirty-four minutes. It is always a pleasure to listen to South American bands just for the untamed energy and aggression they manage to transport so well through their compositions and vocals. A must have for international Thrash Metal enthusiasts.
