30th January 2015
KoRn & Qemists
Last year I had already the pleasure to see KORN live for the first time. As I really enjoyed the show I was quite happy to have the chance to see them again. Like last year the Palladium Cologne with a capacity of 4,000 guests was sold out again and after the show I learnt that there were die-hard fans who even travelled from Slovenia in order to see their favourite band.

Interpol & Health
When I checked the event site on Facebook in the afternoon and read how many people wanted to sell their tickets for the show in Cologne, I was worried that only a few people will show up in a venue that has a capacity for 4,000 people. Much to my relief the venue was quite filled and short before the main act started there were at least more than 3,000 people.

Sólstafir & Nordic Giants
What would fit more but a cold and icy winter day when Icelandic SÓLSTAFIR were playing in Bochum? Their music may be best described as a dense mixture of Black and Pagan Metal, arranged in a progressive way and with a certain crossover, Rock‘n’Roll attitude. As support, they brought NORDIC GIANTS and let me already tell you I was more than impressed by their show…

Die Fantastischen Vier & Lary
In celebration of their 25th anniversary the band released their ninth studio album with the title ‘Rekord’ (Record) in October 2014 and started the likewise titled tour in December 2014. Not only is the album very successful by reaching the first position in the German charts quickly after the release and being rewarded with gold, but most of concerts of the tour ‘Rekord 2014/2015’ in the German speaking countries are sold out. And so it was not surprise at all that the König-Pilsener-Arena was completely sold out on this evening with 12,000 guests.

EMP Persistence Tour 2015 with Sick of it all, Ignite, Walls of Jericho, All for Nothing, Turnstile, Ryker’s, Broken Teeth
This years’ edition of the EMP Persistence Tour takes place at the new Tivoli Vredenburg venue in Utrecht. Headliner of the Hardcore festival is no one less than legendary New York Hardcore band SICK OF IT ALL. These guys have been rocking the stage since 1986 and in 2014, SICK OF IT ALL released their 11th studio album called ‘The last act of defiance’. The complete line-up of the tour consists of SICK OF IT ALL, IGNITE, WALLS OF JERICHO, RYKER'S, TURNSTILE, ALL FOR NOTHING and BROKEN TEETH. Unfortunately, because of parking perils and the early start of the concert, I missed out on the opening act BROKEN TEETH.
