Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds & Paul Newsome
THE HIGH FLYING BIRDS are Noel Gallagher's final return to music ever since he split with OASIS back in 2009. Being guest at the Mitsubishi Electric Halle already in October 2012, the older Gallagher brother returned to the venue to present his own songs as well as some OASIS classics. As support, he brought PAUL NEWSOME originating from Manchester/ UK.

Eisbrecher & Märzfeld
Not for the first time did EISBRECHER perform in Oberhausen's Turbinenhalle in their almost 13 years long band history. Some days before, the Ruhrpott show of the tour for the new and sixth record ‘Schock’ sold out, also because of the practical Saturday evening date. That came with no surprise as the new long-player received overall positive criticism in contrast with its calm and partly schlager-esque predecessor ‘Die Hölle muss warten’. Alexander Wesselsky and his colleagues brought their Bavarian friends MÄRZFELD for support.

Coppelius & Bodenski
It seems like COPPELIUS are visiting the Matrix in Bochum once a year. Now, the band is on the road with the current album ‘Hertzmaschine‘ and around 300 people (I would guess) followed the invitation. Many of the fans were wearing Steampunk outfits and numerous COPPELIUS shirt were spotted. During the waiting time, all of a sudden some COPPELIUS songs, like ‘Contenance’, were sung. Sounded lovely! Finally at eight, it was time for support act BODENSKI to open the evening.

Warpaint & The Garden
The WARPAINT concert should have taken place in November 2014 but it was rescheduled to 15th March 2015 in the wonderful venue of the Cirque Royal (Royal Circus) in Brussels. I had already seen WARPAINT at the Rock-en-Seine festival in Paris and I was eager to see them perform a complete show.

7th March 2015
Clan of Xymox & Grausame Töchter
The town of Sittard once had a small Cultural Centre of Youth known by the name Fenix. In 2013 it made way for a completely new venue called VOLT. This completely new concert venue opened its doors in Spring 2014, almost a year ago. It is a promising new venue with many features to accommodate known and unknown bands. On Saturday March 7th, VOLT was the stage for two completely different acts. The extravagance GRAUSAME TÖCHTER shared the stage with the old-school New Wave band CLAN OF XYMOX. A promising evening with a visual usurpation together with the music of one of the last remaining classic new wave bands of the Netherlands.
