Röhre, Stuttgart, Germany

Bif Naked, The Vincent Black Shadow, Neurosonic
Reminding the audience of Bif Naked at the Taubertal Festival, I felt a little bit unsure what to expect of this evening. I met her for an interview right before the show and we talked in her tour bus. I got to know a very nice and friendly woman. She talked a lot about her dogs and hobbies and about religion. With this preparation I was looking forward to the concert. Whatever went wrong at the Taubertal festival, this time it was going to be a great evening. Unfortunately there weren’t many guests at the entrance and so I was a little bit concerned, whether this will be a successful evening for the musicians or not. I only knew “Die Röhre” of some parties, but I had never been there for a concert.

Communic, Scar Symmetry
For many years now, the Rockfabrik in Ludwigsburg has been a meeting place for Metal heads in the Southwest of Germany; with a diversified programme and little, but nice concert events it is always worth to spend a night there. This Wednesday evening I looked forward to the Swedish guys from SCAR SYMMETRY, whom I had already seen on the Summer Breeze Festival this year; the evenings second act was to be the Norwegian band COMMUNIC, of which, I must admit, I had never heard before this event. When I arrived at the venue, about one hundred people had gathered in the small Club 2 on the buildings second floor; I could also spot a Nuclear Blast promotion stand. There was enough time to look around and get a drink before Christian Älvestam and his band mates entered the stage. http://www.rockfabrik-ludwigsburg.de/.

Alternative Mix Tour: Digital Factor, Desdemona, Greyhound, NUN
Alternative Mix Tour organized by Na Rzekach Art took place in Poznan in the spatial and stylish club Blue Note. Though the line-up seemed to be highly attractive, the number of audience was rather depressing. However, the main reason we came to the festival - the bands NUN, Greyhound, Desdemona and Digital Factor - didn't disappoint our expectations and did very fine.

Live Music Hall, Cologne, Germany
24th October 2006
ASP & Dope Stars Inc.
On a dark rainy autumn-evening we went to Cologne to visit some kind of shooting star of German gothic scene - ASP. Already on arrival, outside the venue we could note that not much people are in the house because normally it's very difficult to find a parking place close to the Live Music Hall. But this time it was easy to do and really the venue was only half filled. May be it was due to the ice hockey game of a famous local team at the same time or an other reason could be that ASP should also play three days later on Friday evening in close-by Bochum. Anyway, just in time at 8 o'clock the support act Dope Stars Inc. entered the stage to warm the audience up.
