Album Review

APT is a brand new electronic duo formed by Jon Russel (known by his project JONTEKNIK) and Martyn Bailey (before in  the band THE CHANNEL) that releases its debut album. This album will clearly seduce most of OMD or KRAFTWERK fans. It's no big surprise as Jon collaborated with ONETWO and OMD Key tracks includes the opener ‘At Night I come Alive’, the superb ‘Pendulum’, the very Moroder alike ‘Changing Lanes’, one of the most up-tempo track of the album, the ending track ‘The Night Train’ (a tribute to TEE?). This album is very coherent and you hardly want to press the stop button once you've started. The production is awesome and driven by a very unique voice, capable of touching some very high notes (‘Make Contact’). Overall we're mainly in some mid tempo songs, but very groovy and mostly, never boring. A really, really, really good album that deserve a nine straight away and let's hope APT is not a “one album project” and will last long!
