‘So Sorry’ is a first taste of the forthcoming new album ‘Monophonic’ of French project DEKAD, making its first steps in 2000 and having two albums under their belt with ‘Sin_Lab’ (2005) and ‘Confidential Tears’ (2006). The reason for the new album first coming up now is the project going into hibernation as of 2007. Activities have been resumed as of 2009 as one-man project. The title track is an assorted mix of melancholy atmospheres with mid-tempo rhythm. Aside from JB, the track is featuring female guest vocals of the project FORETASTE.
The second track ‘Stupid Game’ goes for a club compatible approach and uses retro sequences a plenty. ‘What if (no|reaktion mix)’ keeps the rhythms quite simple while emphasising atmospheres a lot and last but not least there’s a remix of the title track included, a compact and more layered rendition of the song. Even though there’s no re-invention of the genre going on here, and the ingredients are known all too well, these tracks are well-produced and entertaining, nothing more nothing less.
