Summer’s gone, all the leaves are brown and the sky is grey…time for depression? Hell, NO! Because here comes MAGGIE´S FARM, a one man band from Cuxhaven, Germany! Adoring JAN DELAY and DISKO NR. 1, I was quite excited what MAGGIE´S FARM would bring up to my speakers and the result is quite solid. Refreshing lyrics sung by a so called German “Kodderschnauze” (Someone who talks naturally) enjoying the music he is playing. Well, exploring all songs I have to say that the album could be a little bit more diversified, but that’s a question of time, I think. I’m sure, if there’s a godfather of Funk and Soul out there, MAGGIE´S Farm will make its way. Yeeeha!
