Album Review
So here they are: 4 guys from Slovenia support of The Killers at Hippodrome Stozice in Ljubljana on 7th June. Having a look on their homepage, one will discover quickly what kind of influence NON chose to be their primary one on their forthcoming album. “Blessed” with a voice similar to Brian Molko´s godly voice, Matjaz Zdesar and his companions decided to create a mix of PLACEBO and MUSE as their own music-style and that’s the point: Copying two well-known and famous bands without the intention of pushing this to a higher level makes the music kind of boring.
Singing like Brian Molko, because my voice is similar to it, is just singing a song like Brian Molko, but not very original. But the sincere sacrilege is trying to cover a song of DEPECHE MODE without using the melody, only by using the lyrics! Sorry guys, but this is the worst stuff I’ve ever heard. To sum up: On ‘Not Everything Is Made In China’, the band shows they at least know how to copy well!
