After her debut album, ‘Ghost Of Love’, which earned the appreciation of the critics MARIE FISKER returns with the EP ‘Mirror Mirror Mirror Mirror’, which you can find it on vinyl as well. It features a single, ‘Mirror Mirror’, and three covers of songs from her previous album by the RAVEONETTES, MURDER and CHIMES & BELLS. MARIE FISKER’s voice brings something to my mind from SHIVAREE, and as I believe she is influenced by the Blues. Her music is at times Minimal House if I can put it this way, and Rock and the feeling she provokes is a mixture of coolness and melancholy, a feeling magnified by the slow tempo of the songs. The whole EP has a quality without a doubt, as the songs are very emotive and the covers are quite astonishing and its quality consists of the fact that this is hardly music for every day and every moment; I think that it is best when you’re lost in your thoughts, staring at the wall...
