Mitsubishi Electric Halle, Düsseldorf, Germany
4th November 2013
Alter Bridge & Halestorm
As their just in September 2013 released album ‘Fortress’ reached the top 10 of the German album charts it was no wonder that many fans came to see ALTER BRIDGE on this evening. Even more as there are only four dates in Germany to see them perform. A look at the parking area made it clear that the fans travelled apparently quite far as many of them arrived from all kind of federal states. With their Hard Rock/ Alternative Metal sound they reach a wide audience and so you could see people of all ages from 20 up to 60+ at the concert. With approximately 4,000 people the venue was nearly sold out.

The Purple Turtle (Camden), London, UK
3rd November 2013
Diary of Dreams & Red Sun Revival
Opposite the famous Koko theatre venue at Mornington Crescent, The Purple Turtle is an altogether different beast when it comes to live music. It has none of the grandeur of Koko, but a kind of rough and ready charm and intimacy, and tonight saw an almost full house witness England V Germany in a friendly music Battle Royale.

Different Locations, Reykjavik, Iceland
30th October to 3rd November 2013
Iceland Airwaves Day 2: Olafur Arnalds and The Iceland Symphony Orchestra
Second day performances were located in eleven ON-venues: Amsterdam, Gamla Bio, Gamli Gaukurinn, Harlem, Harpa Eldborg, Harpa Kaldalon, Harpa Nordurljos, Harpa Silfurberg, Hresso, Idno and Reykjavik Art Museum. Without any hesitations in this time we have chosen a venue of the evening - Harpa Eldborg. Tickets needed to be picked up in advance in a day-time and we successfully managed this task.

C-Club, Berlin, Germany
2nd November 2013
Faun & Jyoti Verhoeff
During their current tour, FAUN also stopped at the C-Club, Berlin, which opened about an hour late that evening. This, however did nothing to diminish the audience’s excitement. What did diminish it somewhat, was the fact, that the concert-hall was by far too small to accommodate as many people as were there. Probably the only complaint I heard that evening – and sevenfold I did hear it – was about standing tightly packed from stage to exit without any place to move. Quite a shame, since the place itself is a rather beautiful concert-hall, but definitely for smaller audiences…

Gloria, Cologne, Germany
1st November 2013
Amanda Palmer & Perhaps Contraption, Die roten Punkte, Jherek Bischoff
Due to the severe illness of a dear friend of AMANDA PALMER, she decided at the end of 2012 to cancel the concerts in Europe, Australia and New Zealand of her former tour and to postpone them. As there were only a few dates in Germany this time, all of the shows were sold out. Thus it was a great pleasure for me to have the chance to see her live in Cologne. The concert took place in the Gloria, a former cinema, with a capacity of 950 people (standing). A good choice indeed as the interior decoration fits perfectly to this kind of show.
