Kataklysm & Hypocrisy - “Death Is Just The Beginning” - Support: The Spirit
Wow, the Eventwerk in Dresden was literally a cool location that night. I cannot remember ever having experienced a live concert in such a cold. And I have really experienced some. Anyway. The evening was opened by THE SPIRIT from Saarbrücken. The quartet quickly enthused the audience with its melodic Black / Death Metal. The Band released their first album, ‘Sound from the Vortex’, this year. Check out YouTube and listen to THE SPIRIT! It is worth it in any case! After a short change over HYPOCRISY conquered the stage. The Swedes played a brilliant set and thrilled their fans. KATAKLYSM was in no way inferior and also played a very good concert. With the “Death is just the Beginning” tour the fans got a great line-up and everyone had an excellent concert night.

Clawfinger - “Deafer Dumber Blinder” Tour - Support: apRon
THEY ARE BACK! 25 years after their successful album ‘Deaf Dumb Blind’, the Swedish cult band is back on tour this autumn, playing their debut album in full-length. They are something like the profound hit factory of the Crossover rock scene and own cult status for a long time. Already with their debut album, ‘Deaf Dumb Blind’, the band landed a worldwide success in 1993. The album includes hits like ‘Nigger’, ‘The Truth’ or ‘Warfair’ and still obtains as a landmark milestone. Not only musically, but also lyrically, because CLAWFINGER not only created a fresh style of music with their mix of Metal, Rap and Electronic elements, they also write about socially critical and unsparing current grievances: CLAWFINGER succeeded in talking to an entire generation. This year, their cult album ‘Deaf Dumb Blind’ celebrates its 25th anniversary.

Powerwolf - “Wolfsnächte Tour 2018” - Support: Amaranthe + Kissin’ Dynamite
Wow! What a concert last Friday at Haus Auensee Leipzig! I am not sure but I think that was very close to a sold out show. No wonder with this great line-up! The evening was opened by KISSIN’ DYNAMITE. In the last years the band has built a growing fan base through their live concerts. The band recently received the Metal Hammer Award “Best German Band”. Accordingly, they were also received and celebrated by the audience. Sadly, I was stuck in traffic jams and besides, the band even started earlier than announced. So I was a little bit too late for pics. Sorry! Afterwards the evening continued with AMARANTHE from Sweden. In October the band released their new album, ‘Helix’. They delivered a very powerful show to the audience. Then the headliner POWERWOLF took over the stage. Wow, what a great show! With their songs and the great light and sound, the band thrilled their fans.
