A few days ago we reported about sabotage of the band's concert scheduled in Klodzko/Poland for 12th July. Here is the statement of Adrian Hates, head of the band: It’s difficult to write about what happened in Poland yesterday. I’ve been searching for the right words because you have to point out first and foremost that yesterday’s actions were only the results of ideological excrecences of a few people and do not represent the way of thought of a whole country.

There are not many bands having such a fantastic fellowship like DREAM THEATER. The best way to satisfy these engaged legion is to give them even more material they can admire - and DREAM THEATER will just do that in this year’s September. The band will release ‘Chaos in Motion 2007/08’, documenting the “Chaos in Motion” world tour, starting on 3rd June 2007 at the Monsters of Rock festival in Milan, Italy and ended almost the same day one year later, namely on 4th June 2008 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. ‘Chaos in Motion 2007/08’ will be released in two different editions, as Double DVD and as 5-Disc Collector’s Edition with two DVDs and 3 CDs, with 14 live tracks and extended artwork.- Details

Sigur Ros
On 20th June 2008, the Icelandic band SIGUR ROS released their fifth album ‘Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust’ meaning ‘With a buzz in our ears we play endlessly’ in English. It was produced by the band and co-produced by production genius Flood and recorded at the Sear Sound Studios in New York, the Assault, Battery- and Abbey Road Studios in London, in a church, the band’s own studio in Reykjavik and in Havana, Cuba. While the last SIGUR ROS release, the critically acclaimed film chronicle of last year’s Island tour ‘Helma’ showed the and on confided territory, the new album marks the first recording of the band outside of island. It’s also the first album in the band’s career on which the voice of singer Jon Thor Birgisson can be heard in English on one song. The rest is as usual sung in Icelandic.

The Bindlach based street wear brand Boots & Braces organizes the first Boots & Braces independent music festival at the Regina in Pegnitz on 2nd October. True to the motto ‘Independent music for independent people’ a diverse line-up has been assembled. Both headliners GROßSTADTGEFLÜSTER and FETISH:Mensch are nationwide established bands with a loyal fellowship, both with their new albums in their bag. The evening is completed by FASTBEAT SUPERCHARGERS from Bamberg and the locals CODE RED who are just in the process of building up a nationwide reputation.
