After DEVIN TOWNSEND’s new studio album ‘Lightwork’, originally planned for April this year, had to be postponed, the “Lightwork” tour’s European dates have also been replaced with very special guest shows for DREAM THEATER. We are now very happy to announce the newly planned tour dates for March 2023. In the new tour period, all originally planned dates in Germany can be made up for. Already purchased tickets remain valid.

Devin adds: “Originally scheduled for April and May, I’m delighted that these shows have been pushed back to next year. The delay in mixing my forthcoming album Lightwork meant I just couldn’t tour the album anymore and we substituted the tour as special guests for DREAM THEATER which ends today with the final show in Istanbul. I’ll now be concentrating on mixing ‘Lightwork’ 5.1 and taking a much-needed family break. More ‘Lightwork’ news to come soon and I hope to see you all at the concerts!”

Fans of Canada’s most successful Punk and Alternative Rock export have had to wait six long years for new material. But since the release of the sixth BILLY TALENT album ‘Crisis of Faith’ at the beginning of the year, events have taken a leap: The record immediately climbed to the top of the charts in Germany and Canada; the three singles ‘Reckless Paradise’, ‘I Beg to Differ (This Will Get Better)’ and ‘End of Me’ all climbed to number 1 in the German and Canadian airplay charts and exceeded 50 million before the album was released times streamed. Now worldwide concert dates have also been announced, including a full dozen shows in Germany between mid-November and mid-December 2022.

The proven recipe of the Suikerrock festival will be retained: a mainstage with national and international top acts and a program that has something to offer for every festival-goer. After three decades in the city centre of Tienen the festival will remain in town but will move to the Bietenplein behind the city’s sugar refinery. The food corner and the DJ Stage will also be present again but are now finally getting the space they deserve.
