Swedish Black / Thrashing troop SARCATOR is gearing for the sophomore album, ‘Alkahest’, out 21 October via Black Lion Records on CD, vinyl, cassette, and digital formats. Aged 17 to 23, these reapers have continued sharpening their blades ever since their emergence in 2010. SARCATOR is now streaming the lyric video for the track ‘The Long Lost’, the album’s third and final single.

SARCATOR informs: “‘The Long Lost’ is an experimental song but at the same time a pretty simple one. The western inspiration for this song really shines through in the acoustic intro, middle part, and outro. We wanted those parts to sound like ‘a man and his guitar doing his thing.’ This song is the only one where we chose to tune down the guitars, which we thought the song demanded to show the full potential of its heaviness.”

The latest single by Swedish post-punk/darkwave act A PROJECTION sees the Stockholm-based quartet maintain their recent move towards a more electronic sound with a new single entitled ‘Anywhere’ that has a distinct mid-80s electro-pop vibe. Out on 30th September, a video for the song has been made available a day ahead of its release.

The first names for the Hurricane and Southside Festival from June 16th to 18th, 2023 have been confirmed: With MUSE, DIE ÄRZTE, PLACEBO, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, KRAFTCLUB, CASPER and PETER FOX, organizer FKP Scorpio has confirmed the coming of music legends from Germany and the world. In addition, twelve other big names and exciting high-flyers have been announced for the twin festival in Scheeßel and Neuhausen ob Eck.

MUSE is one of the most influential voices of our time. With their recently released number one album ‘Will of the People’ and a lavishly staged live show, the British icons around Matthew Bellamy have left no doubt that they will continue to be ground-breaking and innovative in the future. DIE ÄRZTE have also left their mark on the music landscape. Multi-platinum Rock band THE RASMUS recently released their tenth studio album, ‘Rise’ via Playground Music. To celebrate, the band is also sharing the video for opener ‘Live and Never Die’. The clip consists of live footage that shows the band’s energetic stage show and their connection to their fans. “Even though it’s the last track we wrote, ‘Live and Never Die’ was the perfect opener,” explains vocalist Lauri Ylönen. “I don’t think I’ve ever written anything with so many positive words and major chords. There’s a lot of movement and energy in it.”

Multi-platinum rock heavyweights DISTURBED are preparing for a new era: their eighth album ‘Divisive’ will be released on November 18, 2022 via Reprise Records. A new single from the album, ‘Unstoppable’, is already available today, accompanied by a lyric video.

Frontman David Draiman says of ‘Divisive’: “There’s a growing sense that tribal feuds are the order of the day. The people seem trapped in a single great war between hostile clans.
