Ex-Smith Morrissey has told BBC News that he will record a new album later this year. A release should be expected somewhere in 2008 if Morrissey makes it in the studio later in November. All of the material would already have been written and completely ready for production. Morrissey who currently labelless has been offered a deal from Warners, but has yet to announce whether he has accepted the offer or not. In related news, the news as if Morrissey would have been approached during the course of the summer by a consortium of promoters with a $75,000,000 offer to tour in 2008 and/or 2009 under the Smiths' name together with Johnny Marr is false. The news was denied by several people close to Morrissey. Source: http://www.side-line.com/

Since October 1st you can download a free remix of the Recoil track "The Killing Ground" by the UK act The Slips, not to be confused with the Boston based avant-rock band with the same name. The duo, consisting of Rob Haggett and Dave Treahearn, succeeded in turning the track into a very attractive club song. In a chat with Side-Line, Alan Wilder says: "The Slips were suggested to me by Daryl Bamonte. They have assisted Mark Stent on a number of projects out of Olympic studios, London (Madonna, Gwen Stefani etc) and recently have started to make their own music as well as remixing for others."

WITHIN TEMPTATION open a new chapter on 9th November and prove that a ballad is not equal to a ballad. “All I need“ is an emotional and stirring experience for the ears at the highest stage and everyone, who thought to know what Sharon is capable of hasn't heard “All I need” yet.
