Canada’s most popular rock export, BILLY TALENT, has announced the creation of the Billy Talent Charity Trust. The charitable foundation is led by band drummer Aaron Solowoniuk. For the launch of BTCT, the band has teamed up with Funding Innovation to create a unique collector’s badge. The badge features a gold album featuring the official artwork of BILLY TALENT singles, studio and live albums, as well as a limited edition photo of Dustin Rabin’s band. A solo album by SORROWNIGHT singer Veri Jumala will, surprisingly, be released soon. As the writing of SORROWNIGHT’s upcoming album is also at an advanced stage and it is also expected to appear later this year, the question begs why publish two albums almost simultaneously? Originally, Veri Jumala came from the acoustic genre. But since SORROWNIGHT, he has not been doing solo songs. However, for many years he has had tunes, lyrics and atmospheres building in his head, which he once again wanted to deliver through a solo project. Playing suggestions are ‘A fake’ that sounds like Italo-Disco is again the hottest shit, the Falco homage ‘pur(wien)’ and ‘Für etwas mehr’ reminiscent of SECOND DECAY classics like ‘anders sein’.

4,000 followers of the black scene experienced a spectacular weekend at the Baltic Sea - the pre-sale for Plage Noire 2019 has already started!“Once more the sand of the Weißenhäuser Beach turns black” - so announced the organizers of the indoor Gothic event Plage Noire. 4,000 visitors from all corners of Germany travelled to celebrate together and to witness the apparition of the mysterious Isabelle LeFavre - the legend spun around this ghostly lady. They were not disappointed. The festival was an opportunity to put on a unique weekend with more than 25 bands and an exquisite supporting programme. The last festival which took place in this holiday park with its white apartments and beach was in 2009. Now Plage Noire can celebrate its comeback. Artists and organizers can look back on a successful weekend with many satisfied visitors, who presented themselves in impressive scene outfits and costumes.
