The 30th anniversary edition of the Wacken Open Air, which takes place from the 1st to the 3rd of August 2019 is sold out. Pre-sale of the 75,000 festival tickets in total started at midnight in the night from Sunday 5th to Monday, 6th of August and ended after only 4 days.

“We are extremely happy about the sensational result of our pre-sale for the Wacken Open Air 2019”, comments festival promoter Thomas Jensen. “The massive success of this year’s edition of our festival and the already announced acts for 2019 have convinced the fans again to place their trust in us and our work. Berlin-based French Caribbean performer, painter and electronic pop chanteuse Valerie Renay (one half of Noblesse Oblige) presents her first solo album ‘Your Own Shadow’, co-produced by Alexander Paulick-Thiel (Kreidler): Empowering and ethereal songs that exude dreamy, dark electronic scents with a visceral twist. After initial help from producer Moses Schneider and Einstürzende Neubauten’s engineer Boris Wilsdorf, Valerie was set on a path where her sound could continue to develop organically, as she travelled solo, testing new material in front of international audiences (Live appearances in Germany, Poland, South Africa, Italy).

In February 2015, their debut album, ‘Songs Of Love And Death’, was released and shortly after this there was a very successful headlining tour in the spring of 2015 - I still remember the great performance in the Berlin club Lido.
