Mando Diao
In autumn 2017, MANDO DIAO was playing an extended tour with several dates in Germany. With new energy and joy to bring the band into focus again, the boys are happier and more excited than ever. After nineteen years together, singer and guitarist Gustaf Norén left the band in June 2015 in friendship. To lose the singer is a big thing for a band. Most of them do not recover from it. But not MANDO DIAO. Always, mastermind Björn Dixgård was identified as central front man due to his remarkable voice. And so, the band decided to go on.

The Norwegian superstars are planning a very special concert series. ‘An acoustic evening with a-ha’: this was supposed the title of the new album and an accompanying DVD by A-HA, which the band will record on the occasion of an intimate concert series between June 26th and 30th, 2017. The CD and DVD was released in fall 2017 under the final name ‘MTV Unplugged - Summer Solstice’.In early 2018, A-HA will also present those acoustic shows on tour to give their fans the opportunity to experience the music they love so much in a whole new way. During the tour, Magne, Morten and Paul will be accompanied by a handful of handpicked musicians and present their classics and some new pieces in a completely new guise, acoustically arranged.

Drab Majesty
Deb DeMure and his eternal companion Mona D will again penetrate from their ethereal world into ours to endow the listener with their beautiful music. The talented guy Andrew Clinco (and his androgyny alter-ego, Deb DeMure) successfully and not-pattern mixes Post-Punk, Shoegaze, New Wave, Dark Wave and Gothic in his music, not forgetting also about the spectacular external filing and the confused lyrics.

Celebrated one time, already established. The New Waves Day celebrated its outstanding premiere in Oberhausen in 2017 and brought scene heroes like THE MISSION to the stage in front of thousands of fans. On May 26, 2018, the organizers will even top it and present a line-up which will make every fan of the alternative 80s into raptures. Pop & Wave meets Punk and Industrial. Also this year's line-up proves impressively: The New Waves Day is the long-awaited counterweight to the many alternative events, which are dominated by electronic sounds, unholy hit and medieval songs.
