This is the new release of GLAUKOM SYNOD whose first recording appeared in 2004, namely "Obsessism XXIII". Since then various recordings and Eps were released, evolving in multiple kinds of the industrial genre, often with underlined influences from end 80's and 90's extreme metal. The production remains different from the very plasticized/ crystal clear modern electronic records, to keep a dark/ quite rawer edge, and perhaps a 90's flavor. (The fact everything was composed on 16 bit softwares, which developement stopped 10+ years ago, might add to that).

Thanks to the stoner gods, MONSTER MAGNET is back on tour through Germany this year, it's only a handful of gigs so be sure to be there. After their last record ‘The Last Patrol’, they re-recorded / reinvented that song material as if they were doing the record in 1968... at first I thought: ”WTF?” but then I reviewed it and now I am on the edge of my seat because I want to see them live.

Founded by a young guitarist - who adopted the alias Ashmedi - in the city of Jerusalem back in 1993, MELECHESH has always been a visionary band that invented a genre of its own. On February 6th (EU), 9th (UK) and 10th (US) MELECHESH will release the follow-up album to their 2010 masterpiece 'The Epigenesis', called 'Enki'. Almost all of the music and lyrics was again written and produced by Ashmedi. MELECHESH spent one month in their rehearsal room in Hinzweiler (Germany) rehearsing the material before entering the recording studio in Athens, Greece. The band wanted a Mediterranean place to capture the essence of the band’s origins.

The Belgian cult goth metal act STAR INDUSTRY have always favored quality over quantity, and their fans had to be very patient since the release of "Last Crusades" and its successor live album "Black Angel/White Devil" to finally now getting this new studio single; although the Belgian band remained very active playing across Europe the whole time and having the opportunity to test some new songs on stage… 

There could not have been any better song than "Eilyne" to serve as the appetizer for the band's forthcoming new studio album "The Renegade" which is in the final mixing stage now and is scheduled for an early 2015 street date! "Eilyne" depicts the story of a fallen movie-star with a straight dancefloor appeal, catchy synth layers and STAR INDUSTRY's characteristic goth metal vocals and incisive guitar sound.

This year 58.000 visitors attended Paaspop festival in The Netherlands, enjoying 170 acts on 13 stages and areas. Top acts where amongst others The Prodigy, Kaiser Chiefs, The Boxer Rebellion, 2ManyDJs, Kensington and Triggerfinger. 2014 has not even come to an end, and the first names of Paaspop (Easterpop) festival 2015 are already announced!

Dutch symphonic rock band Within Temptation has been announced as one of the main acts. For the more rock minded among us, singer Anouk will hit the stage. But there’s more, as also some foreign flavors have been added to the first list of names:
