John Lindqwister (Cat Rapes Dog, Basswood Dollies) and Richard Flow (Vision Talk, Haze For Sale) return to the music business with a collaboration under the name of MACHINISTA. Sweden is somewhat of a serious machine in the Synthpop world right now, and our latest revelation are seeking to capitalise on this - and take a few scalps in the meantime. Having recently supported Swedish darling Henric De La Cour, and embarking on the first of many UK shows in March, we are proud to unveil the debut release by the duo : "Arizona Lights".

METALLICA guitarist Kirk Hammett has announced via Facebook that he’ll be joining EXODUS and DEATH ANGEL – two of the fourNuclear Blast artists who’ll be performing at his inaugural horror convention – on-stage for their encores. The musical schedule for Kirk Von Hammett’s Fear FestEviL, which will be held next month, February 6th – 8th, at The Regency Ballroom in San Francisco, includes:

Forta Rock with Iron Maiden, Slayer, Alter Bridge, Dimmu Borgir, Carcass, Sabaton, Trivium, Behemoth, Ghost, Blood Ceremony and more to be announced
After five very successful years including a blast with last year’s FortaRock XL edition, the festival is back with another impressive line-up. Again, the event takes place at the Goffertpark in Nijmegen. This bigger location offers the opportunity for an extra stage, enabling about twenty bands to play on three stages.

Five Finger Death Punch, Upon a Burning Body
The American heavy metal band FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH will hit the stage of 013 in March of this year and this means a guaranteed energetic show with blasting drums and raging metal riffs. Since their debut album ‘The way of the Fist’ in 2007 the band has earned its rightful place in the scene and has become a welcome guest at many festivals and tours.

Paaspop (“easterpop”) is the usual opener of the festival season in the Netherlands. Each year, they manage to provide a balanced and varied program of known and unknown national and international acts. Over 175 bands and acts from a big variety of musical genres will be rocking, jazzing, dancing your socks of in three days’ time. The festival has been extended to several days over the years and the number of acts and stages is still growing.
