Since the LEVELLES released their latest album ‘Static On The Airwaves’, they are more or less constantly on tour. Last October, the band visited Germany as well and turning the concert halls into boiling pots. The LEVELLERS are a band showing – after their more than 20 years in business and after their ground-breaking ‘Levelling The Land’ – how a good live show is put onto stage. They surely are one of the strongest bands in the genre of Punk-Folk. Now, the band from Brighton comes back to Germany for four more dates. Don’t miss the chance to see this extraordinary band live on stage!

The band was formed by guitarist/songwriter Chris Reed and vocalist Mark Sweeney, along with bassist Steve Smith and drummer Mick Brown (who would later join THE MISSION). After numerous single releases, the band had its album debut in 1985 with ‘Talk about the Weather’ and received overall positive feedbacks, just like the single ‘Hollow Eyes’.

True to their name, this powerful trio performs a headstrong, burly metal with roots deep in the impenetrable mire of the stoner/doom/sludge tradition nuansed with streaks of progressive rock and psychedelica. A wide blend of influences are entwined and results in an accomplished and coherent music that is as direct and powerful as it is multi layered and meandering. Names that are commonly mentioned in relation to Colossus are Mastodon, Neurosis, Kyuss and Tool to name a few.

Somehow, Sevendust grow stronger with each successive album. Their personal bond not only strengthens, but the music tends to get tougher and tighter as well. Their ninth full-length offering, Black Out the Sun [7 Bros./ADA-Music], staunchly upholds that tradition. They don't stray from the bruising hallmarks of their patented style, but they also don't stick to a script either. They deliver what their diehard fan base has loved since day one, but they continue to challenge themselves in the process. As a result, Black Out the Sun sees Sevendust at their most uncompromising, unwavering, and undeniable.

A PALE HORSE NAMED DEATH will release their sophomore album Lay My Soul to Waste May 24th in Germany/Austria/Switzerland, May 27th in Rest of Europe and May 21st in N. America on Steamhammer/SPV. Once again the artwork was commissioned by Sam Shearon, who is also responsible for artwork on the band's first release And Hell Will Follow Me. Today the artwork has been unveiled. On the surface, A PALE HORSE NAMED DEATH are impressive. But you'll want to dig deeper and immerse yourself in all the sonic and lyrical layers, because the band isn't afraid to plume the depths of darkness that humanity is capable of. It's murky stuff, but someone has to do it.
