A band like Combichrist with an orchestra? In a symphony hall? Impossible! Forget it! No way! Impossible, we hear you saying? Well, don’t be too sure… you should be well aware of the fact that sometimes the most unlikely pairings result in the most breathtaking experiences. Also, remember that it wasn’t too long ago when this world’s most renowned scholars thought that the earth was a flat disc. Andy LaPlegua was instantaneously hooked to the idea when we asked him whether he would deem it possible to co-headline the 2nd Gothic Meets Klassik Festival in 2013. He has exactly the right vision for this event, he told us. What this vision will sound like… well, you will need to experience that for yourself at the Gewandhaus zu Leipizig, on October27th, 2013. We advise you to grab your tickets quickly, though, as this year’s event was sold out in a matter of days. To provide you with a maximum contrast, Combichrist will also be unleashing their regular mayhem the day before at Haus Auensee. But, on Octobe27th, be prepared for a totally different approach to symphonic sound… with Combichrist! You will be amazed what one can do with a full orchestra!

Norwegian classic rock band HUMBUCKER release their highly acclaimed debut album R.O.C.K.S worldwide on december 4th! The album is released on their own label, Humbucker records, and distributed by german based Musicbuymail and US based Perris Records. The album will be available from wherever you buy your fine music and the reception so far has been over the top. Reviewers from Japan, Germany, UK and US claiming the album to be the best to come out of Norway in more than ten years! The album was recorded in Oslo-Norway at Urban Sound Studios and produced by Thomas Wang, one of Norway`s finest producers. Mixing and mastering of the album was done by legendary US producer Beau Hill. Hill has produced albums from bands like Winger, Ratt, Warrant, Europe, Gary Moore, Alice Cooper and so on, and he gave the band the 80`s feel they were looking for.

The contemporary settings of myths, and the cultural references that have time-stamped Nick’s songs of the twenty-first century mist lightly through details drawn from the life he observed around his seaside home, through the tall windows on the album’s mysterious and ambiguous cover.

earMUSIC, the Hamburg based international rock label part of Edel Group, is proud to welcome The Resistance, and to announce the release of the debut EP “Rise From Treason” in January 2013, followed by a full-length album in April 2013. The Resistance will definitely be one of the extreme metal bands of 2013. The band members’ “CV” is as heavy as the sound of their new musical adventure. The four Swedish musicians carry a great legacy in the great Scandinavian extreme metal tradition.
