Planet Myer Day 11: DSTR, Asche, Jennifer Touch & Porkfour, Synnack, Necro Facility
As every year in early January, Planet Myer Day calls fans of electronic music from all corners of the world to Moritzbastei in Leipzig to spend a fun evening with good music. The line-up will be led this year by Daniel Myer’s project DSTR (previously DESTROID). Besides DSTR, also Swedish NECRO FACILITY are surely a highlight of the evening. On a second floor, various DJs will spin their records.

DARK TRANQUILLITY have to cancel their European Tour. Here's the band's statement: “It is with great frustration that we have to announce the cancellation of our participation in the planned European tour “Metal Attack Over Europe”.
The reasons are several. The main tour promoter has failed in making the necessary practical and logistical arrangements needed for the tour to happen. Due to the lack of reliable information and substandard promotion, ticket sales have been surprisingly low. We can't just embark on a one-month, five-band trek risking to be met by closed venues or not being 100% sure that the necessary arrangements for the shows even to happen are in place. The fact that Warbringer had to cancel didn’t help the situation.

METALLICA will release a live 2-DVD, Blu-Ray and eVideo on 7th December 2012. As the band informs: About a month ago we mentioned that we have a live DVD in the works to complete the Death Magnetic experience and leaned on you to help us decide which songs would be on the main disc. As promised, we're back now with more details on that DVD, Quebec Magnetic (!?!) which will find its way to your local retailer, online store, Metallica.com and favorite digital provider on December 10, 2012.
This release is a first for us... yes boys and girls, the DVD and Blu-ray will be come out on our very own label in North America! There are still some "i's" being dotted and "t's crossed, so we can't give you a name or fancy logo just yet, but we're pretty excited that for the first time we get to hold all the reins on a release from start to finish. Since we now get to call all the shots, the double DVD and single disc Blu-ray will be available for a price we thought was very Metallica fan friendly - suggested retail will be $15.98 for either format.

UK Doomsters The Prophecy have revealed the cover art and track listing for their new album, entitled "Salvation", due on January 21 via Code666 records. The follow-up to 2009's "Into the Light" was produced and mixed by Greg Chandler (Esoteric) at Priory Studio and mastered by James Plotkin (Sunn O))), ISIS and Pelican). "Salvation" track listing: Salvation / Released / Reflections / In Silence / Redemption. frontman Matt Lawson commented on the cover artwork: "The album cover is a departure from the style of the last three albums, but when Code666 announced we could package the disc in glorious digi-pak with a 12 page booklet we couldnt help but go to town a little. The design fits the music perfectly and really captures the feel of the album. Sam at Dose Productions has done a fabulous job with the art and layout making this a product you'll really want to own."

"We're proud to come from the country that has without doubt produced some of the greatest rock n roll bands of all time. There's now a void that needs filling. Everything we do revolves around filling that void" - That's how we know the guys from UK, but HEAVEN'S BASEMENT really can be optimistic about future.
