Five years after their début EP was released to critical acclaim, The Pirate Ship Quintet have recorded their first full length album entitled "Rope for No-Hopers", to be pressed courtesy of Denovali Records. The record is a compendium of pieces chosen and refined from an abundance written over the past few years, during which time the band disappeared from the live scene. The five tracks on this record move through the richly melodic foundations of contemporary classical and minimalist rock. The swelling dark atmospherics give way to moments of brute force, punctuated by low level, desperate vocals. It is a little heavier and more technically diverse than the debut E.P and feels like a considered and organic evolution of the band's method.

After five years absence, progressive cult rockers THE FLOWER KINGS, will release a new album finally on 18th June 2012 (Europe / USA 19th June). The new release of the band around mastermind Roine Stolt (Transatlantic) is named ‘Banks of Eden’ and will be released via InsideOut Music (Century Media/ EMI). The new material presents classic THE FLOWER KINGS style with dreamy-melancholic and cinematic elements. Also, harsher as well as psychedelic and darker passages will be found at the album, melting Prog sound of the late 60s with modern sounds of the “New Generation Of Art Rock”.

German singing Metal pioneers CALLEJON will release their new studio album ‘Blitzkreuz’ on 15th June 2012 in Germany. Now, you can watch the official video for the album here: http://www.tape.tv/musikvideos/Callejon/Blitzkreuz. The album will be released in different versions. The limited Deluxe Edition will contain a bonus DVD. Furthermore, there will be a Super Deluxe Edition, limited to 1,000 copies, containing DVD, patch, signed poster, plectrum and a merch voucher. In 10 copies out of the mentioned 1,000 there will be a “golden ticket” providing life-long free entrance to all CALLEJON concerts.

in 2011, Hamburg got a new festival, the Nordstern festival. The first day was an indoor event at Markthalle while the second day was help open air. Quite successful, the festival will take place for the second time this year. The concept is the same, just at Markthalle, there will be two stages instead of only one. With 18 bands on 2 days and in 2 two venues, a Kick Off - and an Aftershow Party, the Nordstern festival team is going to offer you a superb program in beautiful Hamburg.
