NIGHTWISH founder and keyboardist Tuomas Holopainen explains in an interview with Terrorizer Magazine that the next album will be. ,, I have a very clear vision of the next album already, which feels really weird but I have all the song titles. I know how many songs there are going to be. I have four songs done already even though it's still pretty preliminary, the whole album, but I have a good idea what it's going to be like. It's still going to be metal but I thinks it's going to be a bit brighter than 'Dark Passion Play.” The album is expected in 2011, at the moment Nightwish has a holiday after intensive touring. - Details

Progressive metal band PAIN OF SALVATION will release their new EP ' Linoleum' on 16th November. There is a release show on 14th November in the Cave, Stockholm, Sweden. The bands writes about it: 'It will contain a few brand new tracks and an interpretation of someone else’s song, commonly referred to as a “Cover” (please picture me doing the quotation mark finger gesture right there).' Their last dvd released in 2009 ' The Second Death Of Pain Of Salvation.' The new album is expected next year.
