The Arvika festival is known to be a synth-pop festival with a lot of synth-pop bands playing at the festival but the last couple of years other bands has played there as well and the festival has gotten a wider audience. The festival started in 1992 and has grown with each year and now it is one of the larger festivals in Sweden. The last couple of years they have had around 25,000 visitors.

Swedish Black Metallers VANDÖD will enter the studios in June to begin recording the follow up to their 2007 album “As”. Expected to be ready for release in the autumn, the album, to be called “DÖ”, will be the second full-length from the band. “Our last album was a very raw and unpolished effort, and almost all of it was recorded in one takes, since we all set off with the idea that a debut album should be very “true” and “necro”, commented drummer DANIEL WIKFORSS. “But we’ve got that stage out of the way now, and “DÖ”, is going to surprise quite a few people. We’re not prepared to go into too much detail yet, but let me reassure fans that we have no intention of becoming a technical band, that’s just not what VANDÖD aspires to, but there will definitely be some changes to the production values”. - Details
