British gothic metal act PARADISE LOST have confirmed that Adrian Erlandsson (Cradle Of Filth, The Haunted, At The Gates) will be their new full-time drummer!
Guitarist Greg Mackintosh comments:
“Adrian has been a friend and acquaintance for some time. After calling me to see if the drumming position was still vacant, we quickly arranged for an audition right before entering the studio to record our new album. We knew immediately that he was the man for the job. Playing the songs with him felt very natural. He is the same age as us and from a similar musical background. Unfortunately it was too short notice to play on the new album but everything we do from now on will have Adrian involved.

The Bloodstock team are pleased to announce that thrash legends KREATOR have been added to the bill for BOA 2009.
Kreator were formed in Essen, Germany in 1982, calling themselves Tyrant and then Tormentor before settling on Kreator prior to signing with Noise records in 1985. Influenced by Venom, Slayer and Metallica, Kreators early sound was raw and ragged and similar to fellow countrymen Destruction and Sodom who, along with Kreator, were the mainstays of a burgeoning German scene which dominated European thrash in the mid-1980s. Kreators debut Endless Pain was a significant underground success but it was with the release of the follow up Pleasure To Kill the following year that the band garnered international acclaim. Terrible Certainty followed in 87 and remains what many fans consider to be the bands best album. 1989s Extreme Aggression maintained the momentum which had propelled Kreator from the grimy streets of their hometown to their first US tour and regular rotation on MTV.
