Kim Wilde - “Greatest Hits Tour”
“I’m a rock chick!” is how 80s star KIM WILDE describes herself. She made her international breakthrough in 1981 with her world-famous hit ‘Kids In America’. The song was originally composed by her father Marty Wilde and her brother Ricky and reached number five on the charts in Europe, Australia and Asia. This summer she released her first debut album with hits like ‘Checkered Love’ and ‘Water On Glass’. She even received the “Best Female Vocalist Award” from the “British Phonographic Industry”.
In Germany and France she was very respected and was baptized there with the name “Bardot of Pop music”. In the fall of 1986, KIM WILDE fought his way into the international arena with the cover version of the classic ‘You Keep Me Hangin’ On’ and the album ‘Another Step’ and also gained a lot of attention there. The German-English duet by KIM WILDE and NENA with the song ‘Anyplace, Anywhere, Anytime’ stayed at number three in the charts for weeks and was even number one in the Netherlands and Austria.
Her personal happiness includes her husband Hal Fowler and their two children. She was also passionate about gardening and even wrote two books about it. So she was not only in front of the camera as a singer, but also as a presenter for a garden program on British television. But her great passion was missing - music. For her 40th musical anniversary, KIM WILDE swapped her gardening gloves for a microphone and started her “Greatest Hits Tour” with her band. Float in 80s nostalgia and don’t miss the return of superstar KIM WILDE!
