Adam Ant

It is 1975 when the Punk band THE SEX PISTOLS had their first gig and inspired the 1954 born man from London, Stuart Leslie Goddard, to form a project reaching worldwide fame: ADAM AND THE ANTS. 1979 saw the release of the debut album ‘Dirk Wears White Sox’. Following album ‘Kings Of The Wild Frontier’ is the best-sold album of 1981. ADAM AND THE ANTS conquer the British Top 30 with thirty singles; eight singles make it into international Top 40. After the very successful third album ‘Prince Charming’, the band split up. Only Goddard remains, calling himself now ADAM ANT, moving on now solo and being equally successful. He is very unique and varied, presenting albums with Rockabilly influences, synth elements or even pop whereas ‘Vive La Rock’ is, as the name suggests, a real rock album. Personally, he is as varied as his music.

He loves the visual extremes: his face was painted; you could see him as pirate, win baroque outfit or in rocking black leather… or just in underwear. And now, this fascinating artist will be touring Germany in February to present his new album ‘Adam Ant Is The Blueblack Hussar In Marrying The Gunner’s Daughter’. You should get your ticket now! As a special, for Bochum you have the chance to buy limited Meet & Greet tickets. You’ll have earlier access to the venue, and after the show, you will meet the artist and have tome for photos and autographs. Furthermore you’ll receive a “goody bag” containing several fan items you cannot buy.
