Devildriver & Special Guests: Sylosis, Bleed from Within
One day before the long Easter weekend, DEVILDRIVER will sweeten your start into the holidays. On 17th April, the band from the US will perform at Gruenspan in Hamburg. Fans can be excited because it is finally the tour to their last album ‘Winter Kills’ which was already published in August 2013. Because of the following Friday is the Good Friday, no one will have a good reason not to be part of this party.
DEVILDRIVER now exist since almost 12 years, guitarist Jeff Kendrick and John Boecklin on the drums already played together in a high school band in Santa Barbara, California. The merger to the band DEVILDRIVER was in 2002, after a very long search for a good and also not yet forgiven name, because otherwise Roadrunner Records would not secure the copyright for them. By that time, singer Bradley James “Dez“ Fafara was already successful with his other band COAL CHAMBER. Only one year later, they published their debut album, also called ‘DevilDriver’, and landed immediately in the Top Twenty of the US-Charts "Top Heatseeker". By now, the guys are publishing every two years a new album. ‘Winter Kills’ is their sixth long-player. In the charts all over the world, they always save themselves some places in the middle of the Top 100 for some weeks.
Co-founding member Jon Miller left the band three years ago. Now the cast is completed through the second guitarist Mike Spreitzer and Chris Towning, new on the bass. DEVILDRIVER were on tour with sizes like IN FLAME, MACHINE HEAD and LACUNA COIL. The genre can be described as Death and Trash Metal. With SYLOSIS and BLEED FROM WITHIN they come for only four show to Germany this year. No fan shouldn't miss that! The guys are no unknowns in the Metal Scene anymore, but even if you only a fan of good Death Metal and do not know the band by now you should dare the way to the show, because after that, it will be one of your new favourite bands - I promise. Let the hairs swing and growl along!
