Of Mice & Men – The European Tour 2018
The Metalcore band OF MICE & MEN from Costa Mesa, California is one of those phenomena where it seems to take ages for their popularity to cross the Atlantic. Similar to the early days of KORN, who had to endure a similar fate, they enjoy a substantial fan base in the U.S., having sold over 15 million copies since their formation in 2009.
In Europe however, things seem to need for time. At the end of 2016, the band founder and singer Austin Carlile announced that he would leave the band due to severe health problems, but also certain creative differences. Bass player Aaron Pauley took over the job, and they recorded their fifth album ‘Defy’ which was released in January 2018. Thus, Fans do not need to worry that any of the turmoil has thrown OF MICE & MEN off the tracks. So it’s going to be interesting to see the band bring down the more intimate venue Essigfabrik.
