Vernissage for the Exhibition of drawings of Ingo Schleutermann
In the course of his exhibitions / (and similarly) participations of the last two years, INGO SCHLEUTERMANN has frequently encountered themes about transience, in-between worlds, the cult of the dead and dreamlike blurring of reality. His works have been shown in historical locations of Mexico City, Cancun, Guanajuato, Switzerland (Giger Museum Gruyeres), Leipzig, Brandenburg and Barcelona.
The drawings of the last two years are deeply influenced by his experiences of these exhibitions. They are now exposed in the “Galerie Kirschey” for the first time. His new works provide a forum for virtuoso and absurd theatre, where fantasy, humour and death are celebrating an opulent story in meticulous depiction that unsettles, catches and yet eases its dark sides with a smile. The vernissage takes place at the “Galerie Kirschey”, 42651 Solingen, Alexander-Coppel-Str. 22 on 18th November 2018, 15:00. The exhibition is shown from 18th November to 2nd December.
