The BossHoss - “Black Is Beautiful” Tour 2019 - Support: Seasick Steve

THE BOSSHOSS: The Glorious Seven of the Rock are back with full power! The starting shot is the eighth studio album, ‘Black Is Beautiful’, which was released at the end of October and shot to number one on the German album charts. The country rockers present a phenomenal new CD, which shows the whole range of the ingenious Urban Cowboys from Berlin.

For Example the single ‘A / Y / O’, a Fist-In-The-Air anthem with reclined Folk guitars, Funk brass, modern Hip-Hop sequences and a perfect chorus. In March / April 2019 they are going to present their new songs live as well as all classics in their typical style mix. Their most extensive arena tour for now in Germany, Austria and Switzerland will take THE BOSSHOSS to Leipzig, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Hanover, Stuttgart, Vienna, Munich, Saarbrücken, Zurich, Oberhausen and Berlin between March 16 and April 6.

Black is the colour of the night, the danger, of the unknown and the Rock’n’Roll. It’s the hallmark of rebels, outlaws and party animals, all looking for something out of the ordinary, freedom and adventure. A craving that drives THE BOSSHOSS with the same passion.

Nearly 15 years ago, seven fearless musicians in Berlin-Mississippi saddled their trucks, set up the Stetsons and set off with saddlebags full of Rock’n’Roll to rock the unsuspecting Republic. Boss, Hoss, Russ, Guss, Hank, Frank and Ernesto - THE BOSSHOSS - stormed from success to success. Eight platinum-winning long-players, fully sold-out tours and euphoric festival appearances accompany them along the way, as did numerous awards, including the Golden Camera, the Echo and the World Music Award. Special recognition was given to THE BOSSHOSS as host of the popular “Sing Meinen Song” Tv format and as initial coaches of “The Voice of Germany”.

At the beginning everything was more fun among friends. When THE BOSSHOSS was founded Berlin in early 2004, they wanted to shake up the parties of friends with their casual country and Skiffle versions of big Pop hits. From OUTKAST’s ‘Hey Ya’ to CAMEO’s ‘Word Up’ to NELLY’s ‘Hot In Here’ - no modern piece from the charts seemed safe from their interpretations, which were convincing with drive, polyphonic vocals and maximum humour.

Their debut album, ‘Internashville Urban Hymns’, sold more than 250,000 copies alone in Germany. Since then, THE BOSSHOSS have relied on a strong repertoire of their own and conquered their place in the national and international music scene. With each successor – ‘Rodeo Radio’ (2006), ‘Stallion Battalion’ (2007), ‘Do Or Die’ (2009), ‘Low Voltage’ (2010), ‘Liberty of Action’ (2011), ‘Flames of Fame’ (2013) and ‘Dos Bros’ (2015) - the success in Germany, Austria and Switzerland has been growing continuously. All albums are placed in the top 10.

THE BOSSHOSS perfected their own style of Country Rock. The live shows, soaked in excitement and sweat, leave glowing traces. Boss Burns (vocals, washboard), Hoss Power (vocals, guitar), Hank Williamson (mandolin, banjo, harmonica), Russ T. Rocket (guitar), Guss Brooks (double bass), Frank Doe (drums) and Ernesto Escobar de Tijuana (Percussion) are absolutely rampant. It just blows you away and leaves no stone unturned. The whole hall is dancing and celebrating. No doubt: on the upcoming “Black Is Beautiful” tour this will be no different!
