Werk 2, Leipzig, Germany
26th October
DIMMU BORGIR, Amon Amart, Hatesphere

They’ve performed at this year’s Wacken Open Air and now they are back on tour with AMON AMARTH. With those two bands together, it is promised to be one of the best tours in black metal history so far!

DIMMU BORGIR is a symphonic black metal band from Norway. "Dimmu Borgir" literally means "Dark Castles/Fortresses" in archaic Icelandic ("Dark Cities" in modern usage). The name itself is derived from volcanic formations found in Iceland called Dimmuborgir.

AMON AMARTH is a viking-themed melodic death metal band from Sweden founded in 1992 in Tumba, named after a location in J. R. R. Tolkien's Middle-earth. The name means "Mount Doom" in Sindarin, one of Tolkien's Elvish languages. The five Swedish musicians are known for their songs based on Norse mythology. This is an element that originally emerged as a sub-genre of black metal known as viking metal in the early 1990s, made popular by such bands as BATHORY and ENSLAVED, although the band's sound is more in the vein of early AMORPHIS and mid-period BOLT THROWER.
